Time Knowledge And Energy What They Should Mean To You

Our time, knowledge and energy are our most valuable resources. We do not let anyone waste them.

Time. You only have so much time in a day to earn money. Learn to put a dollar value on that time. Don’t let anyone squander your valuable time. We all meet people who love to talk, we’re guilty of this ourselves upon occasion. However, our time, and yours also, is valuable, after a polite or not so polite period, inquire as to how this person is going to compensate you for your time. If they don’t want to or can’t, cut the conversation off. We know this sounds harsh, but this person is taking money out of your pocket. That said, we don’t mean you shouldn’t donate your time to worthwhile charities or causes, we do. Just be careful where you spend your time resource.

Knowledge. If you’re like us, you’ve spent money and effort to acquire the knowledge you’re using in business. Don’t give it away. Our knowledge has a specific dollar value. Like us, you’ll meet people who will want to pick your brains for free. Don’t let them.

In our Lease Purchasing business, we are constantly talking with people who just have one quick question. Right! We all know where that leads. Or someone will want one of our contracts to use. Sorry, our knowledge was hard won, and it will cost you to get it. Again, the question, how do you plan on compensating us for our knowledge.

Energy. We only have so much energy to use in a day. We try to schedule our high energy activities for the morning, for us this works best. You may find you work better in the afternoon.

Our typical day starts about 6-6:30 a.m. and we end up usually about 9 p.m. No, we are not working all this time. We always try to have some down time during the day. We truly love what we’re doing, so honestly, the day still doesn’t seen long enough at times.

We’ll schedule consultations for the morning when we’re fresh. We may prospect or visit potential houses in the afternoon; and after dinner, we’ll do letters, get mailings ready, bookkeeping or paper work. There’s a reason for this schedule, our energy is highest in the morning, lowest in late afternoon. We look at our evening time as something we can do without a lot of thought being necessary. Whatever we do, we guard our energy very carefully.

Time, Knowledge, Energy. Your three most valuable resources. Use them wisely.

The Perfect Guide To A Real Estate Web Design

Ever since the Internet became a worldwide market in which everything can be sold or bought the real estate brokers moved part of their business to the web, making their job easier and also making it easier for buyers to find what they are looking for, and for sellers to make their offer known to much more people, and also easier for people who live far away from the estate they wish to sell, because with the help of real estate web sites and real estate web design most of the work involved in buying or selling a property is made through the Internet.

The first thing you need if you want to start business on the Internet is of course a web site, so the real estate web design companies appeared, to aid the brokers and people in buying or selling property.

The web site is the most important part, because it is what buyers see the first time and what must convince them to choose to go with that company. The good real estate web design companies must take care of all the ingredients a site needs to rise to the top, from the site’s name, appearance, maintenance to search engine optimization (because without this your site won’t have any visitors!)

It is important to choose carefully between the real estate web design offers, because web design is challenging, it requires both technical and visual, artistic skills.

Since the real estate web design business is continuously growing there are many sites that are specialized in real estate web design, so analyze the offers thoroughly before deciding.

Most of the sites offer samples of their work so they can help you decide whether you like what they are doing or not.

After building the site, the real estate web design company will enter all the offers in the site’s database, and the database will be published and open for new offers from people visiting the site. Make sure the real estate web design firm has made a clear database, well separating the house offers from the terrain offers for example, so that the visitors can easily search and find exactly what they are looking for.

Now, that you’ve build a site with the help of a good real estate web design company people all around the world can find, buy & sell real estate from your offers!

This article is written by Groshan Fabiola as a help to all Internet users, maybe they will find here what are they looking for in establishing a real estate web design. But if you want to find out more details about real estate web design we encourage you to click this.

Traits Of The Successful Entrepreneur

Want to know why certain people succeed and others dont. Well successful people have certain traits? Do you have them?

Business has changed a great deal over the years. We now have computers, the internet and because of the internet - web pages, email and everything else that comes with it. Our telephone system has changed dramatically with the advent of cell phones and voice mail. However, even with all the technological advancements the traits that make a person successful in business can be traced way back when to our grandfathers day. So before you decide you want to go into business for yourself, check and see if these traits are part of your make up.

Are you a person who sets goals? Most successful people have always set goals. They started at a very early age. They might have set the goal to be the best in a certain sport, or in a specific subject in school. Or if they wanted something, and knew that their parents couldnt afford it, or wouldnt spend the money for something, they earned the money themselves. They did this by setting up the lemonade stand, mowing lawns for neighbors, or delivering newspapers.

This is the same person, who as they got older, developed other goals and worked for them. Maybe they havent reached all of their goals, but they have always known what they wanted out of life. They have a vision for their future and they never lose sight of it. They keep revising and setting new goals for themselves. It is incomprehensible to them that everyone doesnt do the same. They wonder how other people can live without striving for certain things.

The next trait is that the successful entrepreneur knows their strengths and weaknesses. They also face up to their fears. This means that they dont let their egos get in the way. They know when they need to learn new skills or take other steps to make their business or themselves better. Due to the technological advances over the years, the skills and steps they need to take might be different; but the attitude has not. So do you have the attitude of a successful business person. To have this attitude you must realize that you are never done with the learning process, and you have to welcome any chance to improve your skills and knowledge.

Another trait is that they are always looking for opportunities. They could be in business or just getting started. In either case they know there are opportunities out there waiting for them. They also know that they need to find the opportunity that will work for them. Even those already running a business, are still open to possibilities.

Successful people will see opportunities other people miss. They also look at things objectively and ask the following questions: 1. Is this really as good as it sounds? 2. Is this something I really want to be doing? 3. Do I have the required skills or can I develop them? 4.Will this help me to reach the financial goals I have set for myself? 4. What impact will this have on my family?

A particularly important trait of the successful person is they will grab at an opportunity and take advantage of it, however they do not act impulsively. They take advantage of opportunities that come their way because they dont want to be a shoulda, coulda, woulda type person. They dont want to look back later in life and say I wish I had.

The next trait successful people have is that they like to know where they stand. They know their own business inside and out. However, they also know about their competition. They also know how well their own business measures up. And since they set goals they know exactly where they are in regards to reaching the financial goals they have set for themselves.

Successful people know how to handle budgets and finances. This is a very important trait. They are very cognizant of all phases of their finances. How much they owe, how much they have borrowed, interest rates, and anything else that can effect them. They always save for a rainy day. They are very much aware that they need to spend money to make money, and will put off expenditures for themselves (house, car, vacation) until they can afford it.

Another trait that successful people have in common is that they also dont settle for second best. They like things done in a certain manner. They have standards that must be met for themselves and their product. If they work with an outside company and that company sends them something that is not up to their standards, they will return it. They look for the best products and the best workmanship in the price category they are working within. They would never put out a half hearted effort for a customer. If they realize they havent done a good job or havent done it right, they will do it again or set things right with the customer. This is why their customers are loyal to them and want to continue to do business with them again and again. Remember repeat business is why you are in business. If you dont make a good impression the first time, you wont get a second chance.

The successful entrepreneur has fun doing what they do. While they might not enjoy every aspect of their business, they enjoy the work that they do. One common theme you will find among them is that they enjoy it because its theirs, and they know they are building something for the future.

They also dont mind putting in long hours because they know that this time is necessary in order for them to move forward. The owner wears many hats: sales calls, bookkeeping, and making sure that customers are satisfied and happy with their product and/or service. They also need to set up appointments, meet deadlines. However, they also know when playtime is over and its time to get down to business.

Another trait they all have in common is they get help when they need it. They will contact other professionals when warranted. They would rather be safe than sorry. They realize they are not experts in everything. They also realize at some point in their business that they cant do it all, and that they have to delegate responsibility to either an outside source, independent contractor, or that they might have to hire an employee.

So, do you have the traits to become a successful entrepreneur?

How Real Estate Agents Can Succeed In A Slower Market

Although the real estate market may not be a bubble about to burst, it definitely is slowing down. Now is the time for REALTORS to position themselves to be competitive in a market that has lower prices, fewer buyers and longer sales cycles.

The hot real estate market attracted thousands of new agents. And business has been good as long as the interest rates remained low. Now the times are changing, and many new agents will be washed out of the profession as the market slows down.

Those that intend to survive must leverage online marketing tools for maximum competitiveness. This means learning how to drive prospective buyers and sellers to your Website and then capturing them as clients. Here are some suggestions that will help real estate agents succeed in a fiercely competitive market:

1. To be credible in today’s real estate world, you must have your own Website to promote yourself and your listings. Make sure you have your own domain name (i.e., Website address). If your Website is just a page on your broker’s or an association’s site, then any money you spend promoting yourself online is really promoting that site, not yours. There are low-cost solutions that allow you to have your own site for just pennies a day, so immediately take advantage of these. Don’t dilute your promotion dollars and time by filtering them through a parent site.

2. Recognize that just having a Website is not enough. You must promote your Website to be successful! Fortunately, there are several ways to do this without having to spend a lot of money:

a. Obtain local Google and Yahoo listings that come up when someone does a search for real estate agents in your locale.
b. Get a listing in the online Yellow Pages or Verizon SuperPages.
c. Use local pay-per-click advertising that only displays when someone in your target marketplace performs an online search. Better yet, you are only charged when they actually click on your ad to go to your Website!
d. Gain new clients by offering a MLS feed on your Website that allows visitors to peruse local listings AFTER they first register on your site.
e. Offer promotions on your Website, such as a free neighborhood pricing analysis for prospective sellers.
f. Refresh your Website content regularly with new information of interest to buyers and sellers to keep them coming back. Use RSS feeds to get up-to-date, free information displayed on your site.
g. Do an inexpensive online press release.
h. Start a blog on your site they work!

3. Increase your search engine ranking by optimizing your Website for a few keywords that relate to your local real estate market. With just a few changes, your Website can become visible to buyers in other cities who are moving to your area.

4. Build a mail list and send out a monthly email newsletter to nurture your clients and gain new customers through viral marketing, which is what occurs when interesting newsletters get forwarded to friends and relatives.

5. Promote your Website offline too. Be sure your Website address is on everything you distribute business cards, flyers.everything! Consider running a small ad in local newspapers too, pointing readers to your Website. Write a short press release too and send it to your local papers.

The real estate marketing landscape has changed dramatically in the past few years. Success today depends heavily on levering an online presence. Those that survive and flourish in a tighter, more competitive market will be the ones who proactively embrace this virtual medium and learn how to use it to their full advantage.

Al Kernek is a marketing consultant and the author of Put Your Business Online, a step-by-step guide written for entrepreneurs, Realtors and small businesses that explains how to successfully create and promote a low-cost Website. Realtors can learn more about Internet marketing and find supporting tools at his Website, http://www.renewsletter.com

Why Not To Use Web Design Templates For Your Website

In todays age of fast food and high-speed Internet, a business may be tempted to take the more convenient route in launching a website buying a template and customising it.

Website design templates are like off-the-shelf websites and are targeted at people who believe that launching their own, unique and differentiated website is costly and time consuming, which need not be the case.

But what happens when you buy a template, and when looking up your competition on the web, you find that they are using the same template as you! A good example of this happening is the highly competitive real estate business I have personally discovered 6 (six) South African real estate businesses using the same design template for their website.

Using the example of the real estate business, lets imagine a guy called Adam wants to look for a new home by looking at several websites.

After browsing a few sites it occurs to Adam that the interface of some of the sites was the same, although the colour scheme may have been different. After looking at, say six different web sites, hes decided that he is highly interested in one particular home.

However, poor Adam is at a loss he cant remember which real estate company was offering this home! The layout and navigation structure of all the websites are the same and all the websites feature homes for sale in the same format.

None of these real estate businesses benefited from Adams interest in buying a new home they simply wasted his time and made him feel frustrated. On the bright side, at least Adam wont remember which real estate businesses made him feel this way!
